Luca`s Coney Island in Ypsilanti

I have been going to this coney island for years. However, today my hashbrowns were something that should not have been given to anyone. The texture is hard, overcooked, most likely previously cooked and heated up. This isn't right. I couldn't even enjoy nevertheless eat my hashbrowns

This place has REALLY gone down hill! A week ago they Burt up everything. I thought I'd give it another go because they used to be good...bad idea! They were out of all of my first choices..if you don't have food, lock up and go home people!...

A service was very good and the restaurant was clean, but my husband and I both ordered the broasted chicken with broasted potatoes and the exterior of the potatoes were practically burnt. The waitress said the broasted potatoes were coming out that way and did offer to take them back and bring us something else but we didn't because we really wanted the broasted potatoes. They tasted ok, though I removed the exterior from mine.If I were the cook and knew that the potatoes were all coming out that way, I would have let my customers know that ahead of time so they could decide whether they still want them or something else.

Great food with good portions and a friendly staff 'great for a quick delicious meal. Clean comfortable atmosphere and the location is within walking distance if you need to take of any business in the area of Michigan ave.

Well we ordered food for a family of 4 and the order was 46ish dollars and you would think they would take extra care to make the food at least worth the money especially the seafood but instead the fish was soggy and greasy with no flavor and had to be tossed in the trash will not be ordering from that restaurant again... shame big order no quality!

Grits, eggs, corn beef hash, hashbrowns and toast

Very rude customer service I called and the person who answered was huff in puffin like hurry up already then I ask how much is it and she says omg I’m like forget no thank u and canceled the order

Great place to have breakfast. I always eat there when i take my car to the garage for repairs

We arrived a couple of hours before closing so I am only a little surprised, but they were out of many items. We stayed and found something to eat. Our group of were the only people so it was quiet. The food and service were quite good and we will be going back sometime, earlier in the day of course!

Terrible service. I waited for someone to take my order until the waitress stopped at the booth across from me to get their drink order (he had just sat down), she looked at me and went back to the kitchen. Just gave up and left.

I always like coming here; the servers are always so sweet. The food is plentiful, I always leave with a full belly, and a doggie bag. The food is good, well, better than fast food. The chili fry special is the bomb! Not a long wait for the food to arrive...always piping hot. I gave it 4 stars because I like garlic seasoned in my food on most of the meat I cook, so, that's just me being picky, I guess. *This place is a first pick*

I used to really love this place but since the cook left it doesn't seem the same. He would make my husband's breakfast sandwich with perfection😊❤. I've had to return his sandwich 3xs and my super skillet has been burnt! The waitresses are awesome it's not their fault.

Been going to this place for years on the weekends. Normally great service from most of the wait staff however one person in particular can be fairly rude. And I’m not the only person on here who has seemed to have the same experience. We were at breakfast as a family and seemed to be in a hurry which I understand but that doesn’t give you the right to be nasty because you’re frustrated you have a busy restaurant on a Sunday... I get she was in a rush but was it really necessary to roll your eyes when we asked for a minute?

Their corn beef hash is horrible. Dont even use real corn beef

Havent been in here in 5 years. Was packed but it was a Sunday morning. Good food. Server tried to bring us someone else's food. The first server that took our drink order never allowed me to get a drink. She asked my bf & walked away. I ended up with a coffee. I don't drink coffee.

I don't understand what happens here at night. You can visit in the a.m., and get pretty decent service from the wait staff, but in the evening the whole place changes. Good luck getting a refill on your cup of coffee. We sat and waited for quite a while before getting up and going elsewhere. The waitress (short girl with brown hair and a pierced bottom lip) that had our table seemed to take forever to come back with our coffee, and she never did return for a single refill, but she had plenty of time to sit and giggle up front by the register with the other waitress. I won't be returning.

Great food and service! Planned to go to the Bomber for breakfast but the line was out the door. Lucas was a great choice that I might not have tried and am glad I did. Food was great and cooked to request, service was fast and super-friendly and prices were reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

Always good food

Steak was overcooked, full of fat and grizzle. They comped the bill 10% because it was so bad. Floor was filthy, but they were short a cook and a waitress. We'll give them one more chance because of the waitress.

Food good and they give you alot always have to take a to go bag home and the ladies are always friendly and outgoing.

This place is absolutely wonderful. I have never had an issue with my food, wait staff, wait time, or anything else!It is clean, comfortable, and the food is delicious!

Food was fantastic! For a healthy appetite, my family brought home food! The place was so clean. I wanted to give 5 stars, but not a very good waitress at all. She had an attitude, left our drinks empty till we asked. Usually we dont leave big tips. I asked my husband why he gave her so much. His reply was, maybe that made her day. She may have had family trouble or bad news, or just a bad day overall. But would still go back!!! Spaghetti was off the charts. Liver and onions was so yummy! Greek salad was so perfect...etc. we might come back if we are in the neighborhood!

Best wait staff I've experienced in a long time. Food was excellent, friend had Philly steak gyros, I had a simple grilled cheese. No complaints here 😁👍

The workers are so sweet and understanding. I love going here, foods amazing and prices are extremely reasonable for the big portions they give you. You get full fast for a cheap price. I extremely suggest coming here you wont regret it! 💗

Food was not prepared as ordered, send it back and still didn't get it right. They gave me two small over cooked dried out hamburgers instead of one large one cooked to order. The place only had three other customers. Waitress made me feel like I was a bother. I used to love eating here. Bora (R.I.P.) was the glue that held this place together. Since her passing, it steadily has gone down hill. I have visited another Coney island and I seen Bora's helper, working there. He learned from the best and is contributing greatly. It's a distance down Michigan Avenue. In Canton. Starts with a "L". Great food there and staff to. I foresee Lucas closing in the near future unless talanted cooks and wait staff change. Sorry for the bad review but it is not the same as I remember it that's for sure.
